Soup of the Day
Served with fresh roll and Welsh butter

Oak-Smoked Mackerel Salad
Succulent fillet of Mackerel from the famous Abergavenny smokery served on a bed of iceberg lettuce with a dill and lemon dressing

Chilled Melon and stem ginger cocktail (V)
Chunks of fresh melon combined with thinly sliced stem ginger, then dressed with syrup of ginger

Garlic Mushrooms (V)
A pot of piping hot mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter and then finished with melted cheese and chopped fresh parsley

Crab Pate
Blended with fresh cream and served with warm melba toast and Welsh butter

Greenshell Mussels
Gently braised in white wine with chives, then finished with cream, served with a tomato concassé

Prawn Cocktail
Succulent prawns served on a bed of iceberg lettuce and drenched with our own Marie Rose Sauce garnished with lemon, cucumber and tomato slices

Grilled Pineapple with Goats Cheese(V)
Seared slice of pineapple topped with melted Rockhouse Goats Cheese from Gorseinon, near Swansea, served with black olives drizzled with olive oil and a basket of melba toast

Main Courses

8oz Prime Sirloin Steak
We serve only the finest Welsh Black Beef Sirloin, cooked to your liking served with French fries or baked potato, sautéed mushrooms, fried onions, peas and a side salad.

Grilled Gammon Steak with egg or pineapple
Served with French fries or spicy baked potato wedges, peas and side salad

Breast of Chicken wrapped in Bacon
Roasted chicken breast rolled in best back bacon, presented on a jus and served with sautéed potatoes and either vegetables or salad.

Braised Lamb Shank in Mint Gravy
Tender sweet lamb ready to fall off the bone, served with creamed potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Pork Faggots with mushy peas
Locally produced fresh pork faggots in gravy. Choose from either chunky chips, mashed or baked potato

Steak and Kidney Pie
Tender pieces of Welsh beef with kidney and onion topped with flaky pastry and served with creamed or chipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Liver, Bacon and Mushroom Casserole
Tender pieces of lamb’s liver, casseroled with bacon and tiny button mushrooms, served with new boiled potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Honey Roast Gower Ham
Generous slices of local Gower ham served with homemade courgette chutney together with a crisp salad and warm buttered new potatoes

Duckling à L’Orange
Roast Duckling in a rich orange sauce flavoured with orange liqueur served with parsley potatoes and vegetable terrine

Design an Omelette
Light and fluffy made from local free range Gower eggs. Choose your fillings from the following: Smoked Haddock, Bacon, Sausage, Potato, Spinach and Mushrooms Cheddar Cheese, Onion, Peppers, Sweet corn, Peas. Served with French fries (V)

Served with boiled parsley potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Poached Fillet of smoked haddock
Gently poached in seasoned milk and butter served with creamed potatoes and dish of selected vegetables

Grilled Welsh Rainbow Trout in Bacon
A traditional Welsh recipe, stuffed with butter, lemon, parsley and chives and served with boiled parsley potatoes, and dish of selected vegetables

Dish of Steamed Mussels
Choose from a white wine or provencale sauce served with crusty bread and a side salad with French dressing

Flaked Cod Fillet
in a creamy white wine sauce topped with melted cheese served with parsley potatoes and salad

Savoury Spinach Crêpe with Ratatouille Filling (V)
A light pancake batter combined with finely chopped spinach cooked on a Welsh maern (normally used to bake Welsh Cakes) served with French fries and either seasonal vegetables or a crunchy salad

Vegetarian Stuffed Peppers (V)
Stuffed with cous cous and sun dried tomatoes and drizzled with olive oil served with a jacket potato and baked beans

Macaroni Cheese (V)
Served straight from the oven with a crisp salad and French fries or baked potato

Spinach and Ricotta Lasagne (V)
Served piping hot from the oven with French fries and salad

Char-grilled Vegetable Kebabs (V)
Green and red peppers, onion, mushroom, sweetcorn and tomato served on a bed of brown rice with a selection of home made chutneys

Peach and Hazelnut Sundae (V)
An extravaganza of sliced peaches and crushed hazelnuts with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream laced with Welsh Cream Liqueur

Welsh Bread and Butter Pudding (V)
Our own famous recipe served with custard or ice cream

Banana Split (V)
A whole banana split right down the middle with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and toppings

A Selection of local Welsh and Continental Cheeses with biscuits (V)
Including Organic Caerfilli, Harlech with its orange wax and flavoured with Horseradish, Y Fenni with mustard seeds, Pant Mawr and Merlin a hard goats cheese to name but a few!
